stars in the running for the 2019 BRIT Awards, it has been

The nominations were announced earlier today (January 12) in a
special televised programme. The winners will be revealed next
month at the annual awards ceremony, which is due to take place at
London’s The o2 on February 20.

Lipa and Anne-Marie are the most nominated artists this year,
with four nods apiece. The ‘New Rules’ singer is up for two
awards in both the Best British Single and Best British Artist
Video Of The Year categories for ‘IDGAF’ and her Calvin Harris
collaboration, ‘One Kiss’. Anne-Marie, meanwhile, is also
nominated in those categories as well as Best British Female Solo
and Mastercard Best British Album.

IDLES are in the running for Best British Breakthrough, where
they’ll go up against Ella Mai, Jorja Smith, Tom Walker, and
Mabel. The 1975 could go home with two trophies on the night, with
them nominated for Best British Group and Mastercard Best British
